Have you made your reading resolution yet? Ascension Parish Library is here to help with the Read 2021 Challenge. This year-long reading challenge is an opportunity to move beyond the authors, genres, and formats you typically read, get outside of your comfort zone, and have fun with your reading list. We have selected 24 book prompts for the year and will reveal two prompts each month. You can participate by reading a book from one or both of the categories each month. Reading anthologies and collections of stories by one or more authors is a great way to sample an author's writing and read shorter works of fiction or essays. Most collections have a common element or unifying theme for readers to consider and explore. In June we challenge you to read an anthology or collection of short stories. Most of us have favorite genres that we return to again and again when choosing books. Many stories, however, don't fit neatly into one category or another but cross over into one or more genres.
